Loss Prevention DataShare is Canada’s first secure, ready-to-go national database where retailers can report retail theft and serious incidents, share and analysis that information helping them track and trend related criminal activity.
Retail Council of Canada (RCC) presents the Loss Prevention DataShare system as a tool and resource for the collection, analysis and dissemination of aggregated incident data for serious incidents including retail organized crime, robberies, break and enters, that are reported by participating companies in the retail industry. The goal of this initiative is the support of investigation efforts by bringing together retailers, government and law enforcement while reducing the impact of crime in the industry.
The RCC LP DataShare system aggregates data anonymously through a secure web interface – information is capture and can be updated in “real time”, giving members access to incidents as they are reported and also offers proprietary investigation tools, analytics and reporting. |
